I got a sewing machine for Christmas and really wanted to jump right in and make a dress! From a pattern. And I found a really cute pattern that was labeled "easy" and fabric to go with (plus a zipper and buttons and something else that I can't remember, maybe you can see where this is going). But when I got home from Joanns and looked at it I realized I don't really know how to sew! So we took a spur of the moment trip to parents and mom helped me get started on the dress, but it was NOT easy, so we only got halfway done. So no pictures of that for now!
However, when I got back home and finally decided to look at the dress again and maybe make some more progress on it, I got a little depressed because I still didn't know how to get anywhere! So Trevor let me buy some more fabric and I made the pillowcases :)
Even though it's not easy, I am very excited to have a sewing machine!
