Dinosaurs

We saw these dinosaur toys at Walmart and had to have them! They were only a dollar apiece so Trevor let me buy them :)

Potato Salad

I've been experimenting more with recipes from a cook book I have and made potato salad for the first time the other day! It doesn't look like much but it tasted pretty good and hit the spot - when I worked at Conservice we had potato salad almost every potluck and I've been missing it!

Dade

I am really sad to hear that my doggy buddy Dade passed away. He was the only dog I've ever been friends with and I'm sure he'll be missed by his family!

Valentines Breakfast

We had a delicious Valentines Day breakfast of blueberry pancakes and sausage! We had to eat it this morning (not Valentines) because we had school and didn't have time on the actual day and then Trevor was sick on Saturday. It was a great Sunday morning for us!

Sewing Adventures

I made pillow cases! (The blue ones, not the green.)

 I got a sewing machine for Christmas and really wanted to jump right in and make a dress! From a pattern. And I found a really cute pattern that was labeled "easy" and fabric to go with (plus a zipper and buttons and something else that I can't remember, maybe you can see where this is going). But when I got home from Joanns and looked at it I realized I don't really know how to sew! So we took a spur of the moment trip to parents and mom helped me get started on the dress, but it was NOT easy, so we only got halfway done. So no pictures of that for now!

However, when I got back home and finally decided to look at the dress again and maybe make some more progress on it, I got a little depressed because I still didn't know how to get anywhere! So Trevor let me buy some more fabric and I made the pillowcases :)

Even though it's not easy, I am very excited to have a sewing machine!

Meatloaf

I made meatloaf for the first time! It was fun and very easy. Oh and delicious!
